AULONA KADRIU, TRAINER AT THE SCHOOL FOR CRITICAL THINKING AND WRITING – PIKËPAMJA

Aulonë Kadriu comes this year as a trainer at the School for Critical Thinking and Writing.

Aulona is an editor at the online magazine ‘KOSOVO 2.0’. Before becoming an editor, for over four years, she managed the programs at K2.0 — a journalistic format of K2.0 designed to encourage citizen engagement and inspire young people to utilize various journalistic formats for fundamental societal change. She has studied political science and gender studies, women, and sexuality. For a long time, together with young people from villages across Kosovo, she has organized numerous community initiatives focused on human rights, gender-based violence, and sexual rights. Her work and research interests notably encompass the relationship of gender with war and nationalism, rigid and violent masculinity, LGBTQ+ rights, and social justice.

School for Critical Thinking and Writing – Pikëpmaja, comes as a need to provide an advanced program for young men and women who want to benefit from deeper skills in dealing with various issues through writing. Unlike the basic module, Pikëpmaja, among other things, offers opportunities for developing knowledge for analyzing data collected for the research project, identifying the research problem, interviewing techniques and strategies, developing knowledge for citation and compilation of the list of references, development of knowledge about argumentation and counterargumentation, etc. During the five days of the school, participants will also be provided with advanced content on active citizenship, youth development and empowerment, and social issues.
