AMER ALIJA – SCHOOL FOR CRITICAL THINKING AND WRITING – PIKËPAMJA
Amer Alija comes this year as a speaker at Pikëpamja school.
Since 2012 he is working at Humanitarian Law Center Kosovo (HLCK) in projects related to the war crime trials in Kosovo. He has been working on several projects related to transitional justice, especially he is very familiar with all court cases held in front of local and international courts related to the armed conflict in Kosovo.Amer is engaged as a trainer for war crimes within the Academy of Justice in Kosovo, he has extensive knowledge in the fields of: war crimes, crimes against humanity, command responsibility, joint criminal enterprise and ICTY database research.
Has completed master studies in criminal law.
School for Critical Thinking and Writing – Pikëpamja comes as a need to provide an advanced program for young men and women who want to benefit from deeper skills in dealing with various issues through writing. Unlike the basic module, Pikëpamja school , among other things, offers opportunities for developing knowledge for analyzing data collected for the research project, identifying the research problem, interviewing techniques and strategies, developing knowledge for citation and compilation of the list of references, development of knowledge about argumentation and counter argumentation, etc. During the five days of the school, participants will also be provided with advanced content on active citizenship, youth development and empowerment, and social issues.
