RINA KIKA – SCHOOL FOR CRITICAL THINKING AND WRITING – PIKËPAMJA
Rina Kika is a lawyer and human rights researcher. She has successfully represented the court case of Blert Morina, one of the first transgender people who asked the state of Kosovo to legally recognize his gender identity. Finally, as the winner of a Fellowship from Duke University in the USA, she worked for a year in the global affairs program of the Amnesty International organization. Rina collaborates with various civil society activists and organizations, especially on issues related to women’s rights, the rights of the LGBTIQ+ community, the rights of Roma, Ashkali and Egyptians. Rina completed her studies at the Faculty of Law of the University of Prishtina and holds two master’s degrees, one from the University of Zurich in Switzerland for international business law and the other from Duke University in the USA. for the international protection of human rights.
